Andrew Buchanan – CMS missionary strengthening and educating churches and ministers in Eastern Indonesia

Andrew is married to Abi. He works for CMS in Toraja, on the island of Sulawesi in eastern Indonesia. It is one of the few predominantly Christian areas in the country. While many Indonesian churches are large and well-attended, biblical understanding is weak, even sometimes amongst ministers. Andrew and Abi seek opportunities to improve the quality of biblical and church leadership. Andrew provides biblical resources to present and future ministers, particularly at the local Christian university’s theology faculty. Abi teaches church management and supports the local student ministry.

Tom Conyers - AFES Missionary managing FOCUS, an international student ministry                 

Having discovered the lordship of Christ and the gospel of grace Tom was determined to share that message with the world. In his role as the FOCUS worker at the University of Western Australia he runs Bible studies, coordinates translators and mentors students in groups and one on one as they read the Bible and discover Christ.

Richard and Sue Davies - Australian Indigenous Ministries Missionary serving the community of Canteen Creek, NT and a Bible translator through Bible League  

Richard and Sue work diligently with AIM from both Canteen Creek, NT and Cootamundra, NSW to plant the Gospel of God’s grace in remote areas, partner in ministry within Aboriginal communities and with Aboriginal believers and participate within churches with an Indigenous Australian demographic in cross-cultural co-operation. They also provide relational stability to the community and run SRE classes for the youth.

Matt and Lisa Pearson - CMS Missionary serving the community in Gubalanya NT 

Matt is married to Lisa and they have four young children. In their first term, Matt and Lisa will be settling into remote living while seeking opportunities to learn Kunwinjku. Lisa will be praying and reading the Bible with women from the community, as well as helping Anna with kindergarten. Matt will be seeking opportunities to sit and listen to local people and train up men by sharing Bible stories and reading Scripture with them.
